Adult Fans of Lego Video

Passion combines with creativity in this documentary that features a selection of AFOLs (Adult Fans Of LEGO) from the Pacific NorthWest. When I see these guys, it makes me feel so much better about my own toy collecting addiction!

Bryce McGlone Mecha Lego

Bryce McGlone has a truly gifted Lego-mind...
Though apparently he's not one of the movers or shakers in the Lego community, he is fairly active in the smaller mecha community and by extension the Bionicle community. Currently Bryce is building mostly Bionicle models only because his building techniques are "geared more towards the ball socket joints and an open ended building style loosely termed "weave". umm OK..(just admit ur damn good!)

He works in Hollywood at a Post Production facility. In short, he puts together TV shows from the daily camera reels to the final air masters that you see on TV.
He does commissioned work as well. He can build just about anything you can imagine. Though employed as a manager in the Post Production industry, Bryce has a background in design.

Maciej Drwiega Lego Trucks

Phenomenal detailing on these replica trucks made entirely by Lego from Maciej Drwiega. I love the way he has taken photos of the 1:13 scale trucks on roadsides giving them that 'realistc' feel! Check out his Flickr photosets to see the interiors of the truck's cabins and engines....

Zombie Fighting Lego Vehicles

Briliant series of zombie fighting-inspired Lego contructs by Nick Crocco. I wonder if Lego will ever take on this idea? Surely there is enough of a demand of zombie-hungry Lego buyers out there?

Lego Architecture

LEGO has just unveiled a new product line called LEGO Architecture with Adam Reed Tucker of Brickstructures Inc.

The line currently consists of six buildings, now including two of Frank Lloyd Wright's most famous and recognizable buildings, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Fallingwater.

With models developed in collaboration with architects, LEGO Architecture works to inspire future architects, engineers and designers as well as architecture fans around the world with the LEGO brick as a medium. Builders of all ages can now collect and construct their favorite worldwide architectural sites through these artistic replicas.

"As an Architectural Artist my desire is to capture the essence of a particular landmark into its pure sculptural form. I first and foremost do not view my models as literal replicas, but rather my own artistic interpretations that harness the landmarks overall appeal. Beyond its identity as a toy, The LEGO Brick is not initially thought of as a material typically used in creating art or used as an artist's medium. It is the pure sculptural form that I have translated from reality using The LEGO Brick.-- Adam Tucker"

Lego Mecha With Opening Hatch

Behold, one of the greatest inventions known to man; Lego and its infinite creative possibilities. Brian Kescenovitz kills it with not just any old mecha, but one with a spring loaded hatch, with Lego pilot inside. Tiny but classy goodness!

The mecha is known as the UM5 War Doll and is influenced by the VS suits worn in the game Lost Planet.

Insane 65,000 Lego Brick Space Shuttle

Two Japanese LEGOsmiths used a whopping 65,000 bricks and 1,590 man hours to complete the stunning diorama, which even simulates a launch with flashing lights under the boosters and a vocal countdown. The only thing it doesn't do is lift off.

Part of the "Nasu Space Center," it appeared as a scene in Nasu Highland Park, an amusement park in Japan.
The duo who assembled it are said to be participating in an event to top the tallest LEGO tower ever built, an accolade which is currently held by LEGO enthusiasts in Vienna, who constructed a tower over 96 feet tall.
