remed solo show

Remed discovered the art of painting in a studio in Lille, France, heavily influenced by Art Nouveau and 70s pattern graphics.
Feeling constrained by the restrictions of his studio, he started interacting with his environment, painting street pieces in Lille, which he describes as traces of ideas and witnesses.

Remed now travels the world leaving traces of ideas in the various environments he encounters and continues to work on canvas and sculpture, mixing text and image, unifying them to express more then letters, images and words.

Kai & Sunny
'Return To The Wild'
04.06.10 - 20.06.10
Kai and Sunny are a prolific, multidisciplinary design duo, whose work appears in many arenas of art. Their work has won them multiple accolades, including a D&AD award in illustration/design.

‘Return To The Wild’ is the follow-up show to ‘What A Wonderful World’, exhibited at the StolenSpace Gallery London in January 2009. Like ‘What A Wonderful World’, Kai and Sunny continue to explore the feelings that nature can project. Their new body of work in ‘Return To The Wild’ goes further, capturing landscapes that we know don’t exist and yet convey that feeling of ‘déjà vu’. That’s because these large scale series of prints come from a more emotional point of view that hits the viewer on a visceral level.

Anna Magnowska is an illustrator and a qualified nurse working in Oncology at UniversityCollege Hospital . She worked for many years as a freelance illustrator for magazines, record labels, advertsing agencies, fashion houses and private clients. She has also been involved in severalexhibitions with other artists, however Hearts are for Taking Hostage is her first solo exhibition.
The work has been inspired by Anna’s training to be a nurse. It is an anatomical exhibition which looks at what we use various body parts for in terms of love, lust and loss rather than simply looking at the heart as a pump for transporting blood around the body
